MESA has provided design for numerous improvements to Petit Jean State Park. These include extensive boardwalks, which provide universal public access to Cedar Falls and Petit Jean Grave. Other work includes rebuilding the entry areas to both the CCC built Mather Lodge and the Visitor Information Center, exterior improvements to all the CCC built cabins, and redesign of camp and day use areas. These areas are designed to be sensitive to the historic and natural character of the site while allowing ADA access.
